elogicmedia Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 Hi, I have this website that sells membership, the membership is bought through oscommerce and they can get 1 of 4 levels (standard, standard plus, silver and gold) NOw the client wants to offer these members discounts on certain products only and a different percentage for each level of membership. For example: standard member gets 5% off on a certain book the gold member get 15% off on the same book. currently a user logs into OScommerce and it will check the membership database via their email if they are currently subscribed to the website and if they are then I need to pull from another table the above discount if it applies to the products within their cart. I currently have an extra field within oscommerce.products called allow_discount which is set to 1 if this product is accepting discounts. All is currently working except when it comes to applying the discount to the products, I can get the discount to apply to the listing of products on the checkout_confirmation page but the subtotal and totals do not reflect this new price.. How can I edit these subtotals and totals? http://adamsymonds.mrphp.com.au/screen_shot_discounts.jpg notice on the screenshot from above, all is working except the totals which are not updating, where are these stored before then get put into the database? Thankyou Quote
hooman Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 Hi, I am looking for exact same functions. However I am one step behind you. May I ask what contribution you used for this already? The subtotal seems right but I see the incorrect grand total. I am looking for a contribution or a fix where users can buy (or just add to cart) a certain membership level and then other products that they add to cart will have certain discount percentage associated to it. Guest Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Need exactly the same thing. Excuse me for being a newbie, but why am I reading posts that are 4 years old with out an answer? Are there no physical employees of osCommerce? Maybe I'm out of place but I've been spending an enormous amount of time trying to put a store together with this software and it still doesn't have all the stuff that a typical store (or software for a store) should have. Sorry for venting, I just frustrated because it seems that osCommerse is not even a real program, it feels like it's more of a community code experiment that I experienced in the 80s. Is there actual finished working modules for these services? I've got a business to run. (well theoretically) Quote
