Just curious, as to why a Google Adsense bot would be visiting my site? I thought I would have to list with Adsense and maybe have the advertisements on my site to be crawled. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Google "bot" hit Saveink.com.au three times in the last 24hrs. went right through our site to the point where they had added one of every product we sell to their shopping cart.

We see the bot labeled Google everyday or so. But the past few days we are also seeing the bot labeled Google ADSense. Maybe their is no cause for concern. I just don't understand why Adsense would visit, we don't use the service.

Probably just crawling another site that does use Adsense, and came accross a link to your site.

Did it crawl your entire site, or did it just hit the index and leave?

I'm interested to know if it's only hitting your root url, or if it's going deeper than that on your page.

Also, is the url it's hitting the same URL that you would normally have a link from another site to yours?

In the raw logs, is there a referring URL on the entries from that bot?

You've peaked my curiosity.

The info I have provided is straight from my awstats. Sorry, but I don't know how to access the information you request. I to am curious. How do I find the "raw logs"?

There should be a link in your web administration panel.

I am at a loss, can't find a "link". Well it looks like another feature to learn about and trouble shoot. I probably should have a function enabled somewhere that's not. Could it be the Logging>Store Database Queries?

I don't know, I will find the answer though...

No Chris is refering to your WEB administration panel, not your store admin.

If you are running Cpanel you can see the logs via this admin panel which he is refering to...

If not then ignore the above :D
