Guest
I tried renaming the folder, copying the foldewr and placing it several folders deep but nothing seems to work. When I go to my new admin folders, the browser redirects to admin. So I can't delete or rename my admin folder. I also tried a PHP addition where it checks for a session username and password, but this made my admin folder have default url links (when I say default, they were not correct). I also searched the forums with little luck. So How do I secure the admin folder? thanks
♥Vger
Go to your web hosting control panel (not the osCommerce control panel) and look for a link called something like Password Protect or Directory Protect and use that function to password protect your 'admin' folder. Guest
Okay, I called my host and they don't offer password proitection, only secure certificates, which secure the entire site, yet the viewer could access the admin folder. So I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. What do I do now? thanks :-"
