Zombie2000
Hello OSc'ers For an installation of a SEO contrib I need to put 'Search Engine Friendly' on True in admin -> configuration. I have always had this on false but when I'am switching this option to True I get an error when clicking on a catagorie or a product. This is the error I get: Error! Unable to determine the page link! My webhost provider uses this software: HTTP Server: Apache/1.3.33 (Unix) PHP Version: 4.3.11 (Zend: 1.3.0) Does anybody know how to fix this? Please advise
Guest
I am getting the same error, only it is limited to just some of my catagories, and some of my sub catagories. I have 2 contributions installed that need to have this activated. I have searched the forum and the best answer I get is..."works for some, doesn't work for others" It is as if they do not care if this function works or not. I tried installing SEF by Blu Yon... Worked on it for over a month with my shop malfunctioning.. Finally had to rebuild my intire shop. I am not going to install SEF again, but, I need Search Enginge Safe to work. Can anyone out there can help us??? P.S. I have double checked and I do not have duplicate product names.
♥toyicebear
Its only BlueYons Search Engine Friendly URL's which requires the oscommerce Search Engine Friendly URL'S to be set to true. And as you can see in your admin they are labeled as under development, thats why they do not work on all server/hosting solutions. But do not despair....there is several other search engine friendly URL contributions which will work for your shop without problems, click on the link Sef & Seo Url's in my signature to read about the available contributions and the url's they will give you.
