xg04 Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 Hi I will be using Eway (www.eway.com.au) as gateway provider. However, based on the link below: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,875 I must have MS XML installed. But my web hosting uses Linux system. Can I still use my web hosting + eway + Oscommerce to process credit card payment? My web hosting has PHP 4.2 or later compiled with CURL and XML support. Is it enough to run Oscommerce with Eway? Thank you in advance. XG04

The module in contributions only mentions ms1 however so you might need to do some coding to get it to work with ms2.

It mentions in here: eway payment Module is a payment module for the osCommerce open source e-commerce shopping cart, which enables credit card processing via eWay Profession XML solution. You must need SSL certificate to be installed and Microsoft XML version 2 or 3 (3 preferred) to be installed on your web server to run this module. Could you clarify it for me again? Thanks again XG04
♥Vger Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 XML 'support' is usually enabled on Apache (Unix/Linux) servers - but this is different from actually having a proprietory Microsoft branded solution installed - for which you would require a Windows server. Even then you would need to make sure that the server has the correct version installed. Why don't you run a search in the Contributions Support forum to see if anyone else has used this contribution - you may find your questions already asked and answered there. Vger
