Product Available Date

Ok, here's another one. I have searched (and searched) with no results.

 

I have SPPC 4.11 installed. Many of my customers are wholesalers and I would like them to be able to pre-order items not yet in stock. However, these items (which have a future release date) should not be viewed by the public (for a number of reasons).

 

What have I overlooked to get myself here?

 

How can I prevent retail customers from seeing products which are not yet here?

I don't have the exact answer, but when I was on the support thread for this contribution someone mentioned a compatible contribution that could have separate products for separate groups.

 

I don't remember the details. Sorry.
