how do i get these effects?

i'd like to recreate this rounded corner effect or this site..http://www.itchi-tech.co.uk/

 

this is my base site that i just intalled....http://69.94.97.6/oscommerce

 

i love the left handed menu's and the main rounded 'centered' content area as well. also, how did they get the left menu's and the main content area to align at the bottom like that? please, i'm a programmer, but not a designer and need some help!

To get the boxes like that, you need to edit the infobox files or install one of the infobox contributions. The rounded corners are accomplished by displaying images that are shaded to give the look of being rounded. The infobox skin manager contribution will give you boxes like that relatively easily once it is installed.

 

The bottom isn't aligned that I can see.

cool, i'll check out that contrib...on my machine, the bottom of the main content area and the bottom of the information box are aligned.. not for you?

 

p.s. - just looked and there are more than 200 infobox contribs. i'd like to have rounded corners on both the main content area and the left hand boxes (getting rid of the right so i can center the site). any idea which of the contribs i should check out?

No, they are not aligned when I look at them.

 

Do a search in the contributions section for skin manager. I think that is part of the name.
