bighof
I read in a earlier topic that the person had hiddin all his admin files and block robots via the robots.txt file Can anyone explain to me how I can add these to my site?
Jack_mcs
You can protect the admin section by using an .htaccess file. Your host probably provides a tool for doing this. Otherwise, it has been discussed here many times, several this last week alone, so you can find how to do that with a search. Likewise, search for robots and you will find a sample robots file with instructions on where to put it. Jack <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That may be so, BUT the search here sucks and you have to go thru mounds of crap to get to whats real! Besides, Jack the same can be said for 90% + of the posts. If you don't want to answer no answer is better than yours!
Jack_mcs
Wow, there's nothing like being grateful to someone offering help. It's not the help you want so you attack? I just did a search on htaccess. Out of the posts listed on that first page of results, there were at least three that led straight to an answer to your question. If you are not going to try at all to find the answer, you are going to have a very rough time with oscommerce.
