how do you make and install a daterbase

from memory I don't think you do. the automated install for the database creates it.

No, it does not create the database for you. You need to go to your web hosting control panel and use the MySQL link to create a blank database, and from there on you can use the install.

 

The only time a database is created for you is on an automated 1-click install like with Fantastico or Power Tools.
