SimplyWebJoe Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 My customer only wants to have a sign-up form and then only registered users can access his catalog. Any ideas. I've checked the rest of the forums and can't find exactly what I need. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks Joe
kbakba Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 The contribution: Separate Pricing Per Customer Version 4.1.1 from Jan Zonjee. would work nicely. It's a long install if you are doing it on an already modded website. I installed this on a Fresh osCommerce install, and had no problems at all with it. People who install it by hand seem to have some issues. There is a support thread for this contribution. Would just some kind of a password entry work instead? "Web Done, Web Joe"
ozEworks Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 What you can do first it install the contribution that requires accounts to be approved. Then you need to do something about the general public seeing the catalog. Do they want to hide the whole catalog or just prices. If prices there is another contribution that can do that. If it is the whole site then you need something different. I know it can be done - just never have done it but I am sure I have read about it. Go look in contributions. Look for things like "members".
SimplyWebJoe Posted August 7, 2005 Author Posted August 7, 2005 Here is what they want to do. I have already built them two OCS sites. This one is for registered (sent acount info via snail mail) users to have exclusive access to a wholesale version of the catalog. It will function just like the main store, except the required account to view and they will not purchase anything via the wholesale site, but via an purchase order. Joe
