Hey guys, hopefully you wont rip me apart, I know this is too stock, I really want to change it, although I don't really know which way to take it. If you can let me know which way you think I should go with the oscommerce end of it that would be cool, I am currently reworking the site and will hopefully use that as a template for oscommerce.

Anyways, let me know.

There isn't much to say about your site when you ask people to not rip it apart.

The site I admin is fairly stock and I am happy with the way it is progessing so if I were you I wouldn't worry as much about it being stock.

To begin with it looks like you have a fair selection of items and your pop up images work well. Now it's a matter of how you want the shelves to be displayed. Two suggestions I would make at this point are to spend some serious time in the "Live Shops" section and the "Contributions" section. You will find some great ideas in both places that will help you realize the look you are looing for. I just downloaded a contribution to replace the infobox headers with images. It was a tad more work than he said it was going to be but it improved the look of the pages dramatically.

BTW

some of your top level pages don't link correctly to the shop. I would fix that right away. And if anyone else reviews your site they are gonna yell at you for not adding content to your information pages. Get some content in there or be prepared to get "Heck".

And let these people tear it apart, they are good at it, they have valid replies, the comments they make will improve your site, . . . and well . . . they just need to vent at somebody ;)

Tom,

Brown text on a brown background is not a good combo unless you're hoping no one will ever read it.

Medalta,

Which contribution did use to make the headers into graphics and can you post a link to your store so I can see it in action? :D

Thanks,

Adrienne

It was Graphical Infoboxe Headers by Bruce Hakala in the images section. I still haven't figured out where the contrib # comes from so I can't tell you what it is.

The Store I admin is at Historic Clay District Giftshop

Don't forget I said it is fairly a stock install.
