Bozmium Posted August 6, 2005 Share Posted August 6, 2005 Hi forum, Just wondering if anyone else had had any issues with an agent/spider known as DTAAgent. I have searched and found zero here in the forums, and not much more on the web bar a vague description of the owner and a heap of other peoples stats files. This thing comes into my site and hammers away at the index page for a few hours - reloading every 4 seconds but going nowhere. The url in Whosonline shows up as index.php?amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp; and so on - a big string of "amp;" after the location url. I imagine it never got past index because of this. Anyone else bumped into this fella before? None of the other bots seem to have a problem with my urls. Ended up adding him to spiders.txt - no effect, then robots.txt - no effect, and finally ended up blocking the ip address through my CPanel to get rid of it. ?????
