jonny1968 Posted August 6, 2005 Share Posted August 6, 2005 So it seems that by typing in www.mysite.com/admin that I'm allowed into my admin controls without any type of log-in. What am I missing? Should'nt there be a user name, password or something? Besides the point... everypage past the first admin page shows the sucure lock however. OceanRanch Posted August 6, 2005 Share Posted August 6, 2005 SSL and access authorization to a folder are different issues. SSL provides an encrypted message communication protocol between your browser and the webserver. There is no built in login/authentication protection scheme with oscommerce. It is up to you on your server to password protect the admin area with either your host control panel or perhaps .htaccess features of apache.
