Chapman
I downloaded and installed osCommerce and mySQL on my Mac. When I go to the install.php all I get is the source code (I believe?it starts with <?php and goes on). I must have missed something quite basic. What was it? For Mac users: I have it in my Sites folder, if that makes a difference. Oh, and mySQL is running (I think).
moonstone
I believe you have either not installed PHP or it's configured wrongly. I've found this article very useful when I first started setting up PCs with Apache, PHP & MySQL in preparation for osCommerce. I'm still referring to it some times when I'm facing issues. Hope that helps...
Wendy James
Not sure about mac but I know on windows you also need to have apache installed as well as php and mysql. I installed easyphp but not sure if that is just for windows... as I said I know nothing about macs. I know there is a program called xampp that installs everything you need to run an oscommerce store locally and it works on macs. Maybe that would help you?
