AllTheAbove
Ok.. currently my site is in /htdocs/catalog/ When someone wants to get to my store they have to put in mysite.com/catalog/index.php Under htdocs are files like changelog, standard etc etc.. What I was wondering is, can I just do a complete move of the site by taking everything from /catalog/etc/etc/ and move it into the htdocs dir? If so, do I need to move those other files? If so, to where? Lastly, will this make it so all someone has to do is type in mysite.com to get to my store? Is there an easier way? I know moving everything means going in and changing where it all points to in the seperate files.
niknakgroup
Why not just make an entry page in your root. this page can welcome your customers, serve as an seo gateway, echo your existing index page or contain flash. Alternatively use .htaccess to do a 301 redirect into your store folder. If you move everything, you lose any existing search engine accomplishments, and you also annoy all those customers who have bookmarked your pages. Please note - if I have suggested a contrib above, it doesnt mean it will work! Most of the contribs are not ones I've used, but may be useful for your particular problem.... Have you tried a refined search? Chances are your problem has already been dealt with elsewhere on the forums..... if (stumped == true) { return(square_one($start_over) } else { $random_query = tep_fetch_answer($forum_query) }
