Words blending with image

the wording is over to far to the left making blend in wit hthe white part of the image

 

how can i fix this

 

i tried this

in stylesheet i found

i changed padding left to 13px and it lined up fine accept the search magnifying glass thing was over to far and into the white

 

any other way to go about this
