ccwebb Posted August 4, 2005 Share Posted August 4, 2005 I just installed oscommerce using the server control panel. All went well. I did not like the use of the text title "Suburb" so I went into File Manager - includes/language/english.php and changed Suburb" to "Address 2" being careful not to change anything else. Next clicked Save. I then could not access catalog - just got a blank screen. I went into the control panel - removed oscommerce, reinstalled it, did the above again, and got the same problem. Then, after removing-reinstalling again - I manually downloaded english.php, made the changes, uploaded the file and everything worked okay. Should maintenance through file manager be avoided?
