Product Options sorted properly before login

If I add a product to the cart when I'm logged in the product options are sorted properly under the product.

 

If I add a product to the cart when I am not logged in, the product options sort properly, until I login to checkout the product. After the login, the product options sort order is messed up.

 

Any ideas why this is happening?

The default oscommerce does not include a sort on options. You are at the mercy of mysql that may randomly return the values when no sort is specified.

 

Search for "attribute sort" in the contributions and you'll find a couple of good addons to help you out.

Hi Tom,

 

I have "Attribute Sets" as one of my mods. That should do the same thing, shouldn't it? I've set the sort order, so I'm not sure why the option are still getting scrambled during login.

Hi Lisa,

 

"Attribute sets" is different than attribute sort. The attribute set contribution appears not to provide any sorting options. Try the following and/or search for others that will provide sorting.

The Attribute sorting mods only seem to work on the product info page. I need to know why the options get scrambled after login. Example:

 

Before login:

- Package: AP-201

- Color A: A6001-O White

- Color B: A6001-O White

 

After login:

- Color B: A6001-O White

- Package: AP-201

- Color A: A6001-O White

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
