How easy?

Hey,

 

I have just had oscommerce installed + configued to look like the rest of my website (www.cs-autosalon.com/cart) but I am now wanting to change the look of most of the pages, not drastically but a fair amount.

 

I know a fair amount of html (i designed that page) but I have never worked with an ecommerce store before. So how easy would it be for me to do this myself and what would I need to know to do it?

 

If you can point me in the right direction of where shows me what to edit for each page, etc. I would be more than grateful! :thumbsup:

It's fairly easy. Looks like the only work you need to do as far as looks go is with the stylesheet and images.

 

I would start by overwriting those cheesy looking cartoon .gifs that are on every page, then move on to overwriting the default buttons with something nicer.

 

There are contributions that contain replacement buttons and blank.gif files. look in the knowledge base for info on how to style your boxes and info on how and what needs to be changed in the stylesheet to get your site looking the way you want.

 

Once all that is done move on to other contributions that improve the functionality of oSC.

Yeah, I have plans how I want every page to look, just needing to figure out what file relates to what pages, but hopefully the places you've pointed out will tell me that!
