Tomkin Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 Please help! I am new here! I tried to install the UK Royal Mail Shipping Module and got: 1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'd (2):', '6', '0', now())' at line 1. This information follows the above warning: insert into oscommerce_configuration(configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order. date_added) values (",'MODULE_SHIPPING_ROYALMAIL_ZONES_COST_1', ",'Rates cont'd (2):', '6', '0', now()) [TEP STOP]
♥Vger Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 for the right syntax to use near 'd cont'd = error cont\'d = no error Vger
Guest Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Hi Vger Thanks for this. I did suspect the ' by itself was causing the problem but I'm not familier with the codes yet. I am an ex C++ which is different. Your advice worked a treat! Thanks a million! Tomkin
♥Vger Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Yes, it's a php parse error thing. Even in the database text which contains an apostrophy must be escaped by a preceeding backslash. Vger
