david733383
Hi all, I want to import a product DB with 35 fields (fixed product attributes such as weight, size, color, etc...) using Easy Populate. -- Should I merge the extra attributes in Excel into a single, preformatted html field (using a macro) and then import them into OSC using Easy Populate as a normal product_description field? Is there a better solution? Please help! David.
♥Vger
If you did that and then later on wanted to use Easy Popuate as a Froogle feed then Froogle would undoubtedly reject it (even one tiny thing wrong and they'll reject it). You can see in admin/easypopulate.php which fields EP accepts. Sorry I can't be any more help - only just getting to grips with this myself. david733383
Thanx 4 ur reply Vger. Does that mean that people using WYSIWYG editors for their product_description will end up with screwed up Froogle feeds? Other suggestions? Anybody? Here's the question again: Question = How do you import a product DB with extra fields into osCommerce using Easy Populate? The extra product fields will ofcourse need to be displayed in a special table on product_info page... Many many thanx for any help/leads offered. David.
