raymondj64
Hi all, I’d like to display only the first and the second layers in the category box. The reason behind is because the category names are too long and I can’t reduce them… Is there something already existing ? How can I do it ? Thanks for any help !…
Guest
Would it suit your purpose to simply extend the width of the left column? That is much easier. -jared

That is much easier. -jared <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I cannot extend enough the left coloum becuase I don't have enough place for the center... I tried to trunk the category label, but I didn't suit. The result displayed is several time the same category because the useful information is at the end of the label. thank you jared, for your suggestion... Guest
Its good to use short category names - much easier to read/navigate.... please enlighten as to why you cannot shorten them? I solved this problem on one site by adding another column to the categories_description table categories_name_long to use where I required the long name. raymondj64
I want to sell spare part for cars. The first category level is the Mark (eg. 'MERCEDES') of the car, the second the type (eg. 'MERCEDES CLASSE A') and the trird is the model (eg. 'MERCEDES CLASSE A 1.9 Diesel with ABS from 10/2001 to 09/2004'). This is very too long to fit propely in the category box. Having this designation in 2 line is very ugly... The products will be on that third level (eg. Brake disc, or pads, etc.). I must keep the whole category label in order to have the completed designation in the order mail.
