sam_z84 Posted August 2, 2005 Share Posted August 2, 2005 hey guys, i just installed the system on my site, read couple of questions on the forum and everything is going good so far. but a i felt a little jealous that i did not post any questions as a newbie yet lol so here is the first one. I'm interested in doing 2 things. first thing is have my item up on the site and then do a thing where if you buy say 12 items of that same item you get a certain percantage off. Question is, is this possible, if yes how can i go about doing it? 2nd thing, I want to sell "savings memebership" where the customer pays an amount of money and then he or she will get a certain amount of percantage off (wheather or not they buy in single or in 12 pieces) Again, is this possible, if yes how do i do it. I know at one point i came accross something like oscommerce website (it could have been oscommerce) where I could assign each customer a percantage of savings. But i was really surprised when I could not set it up with oscommerce Please note that I am a newbie with all this so the more details and info you give the better. altDev Posted August 3, 2005 Share Posted August 3, 2005 If you are comfortable with installing contributions, one of these will do the job, "Seperate Pricing Per Customer" , this one will allow you to set discounts specific to each customer. It can be a percentage or dollar amount. "Discount Per Products Quantity" , This one will allow discounts for everybody but only if they buy a preset quantity.
