Question about UPS XML Rates and Services v1.0

I was wondering if anyone knew what the flag in the products section in admin that says

"Ready to Ship" does?

It appears that it might be using product dimensions for the package dimensions if it is enabled.

And if disabled it uses the predefined packages in the Tools->Packaging.

I just wanted to make sure that this is the case.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The "Ready-to-ship" flag is used to indicate that this product will ship in its own box, with the dimensions and weight given for this product. Otherwise it will be treated as the rest and tried to stuff into one of the boxes. Be aware that the packing algorithm has a serious flaw, to avoid getting into loops it drops products :'(

The ready-to-ship items are not dropped by the way.

Thanks you very much for the info.

I made all products have their "Ready to Ship" flag on.
