Guest Posted August 2, 2005 Share Posted August 2, 2005 Hello all, This is my first message on here, I did check to see if there was any related issues with my problem but there is not. Perhaps I'm just doing it wrong!! I am trying to give my customers the choice to download, I have entered the item, and I have set up the attributes. I have also put the file in the pub/ directory and just incase in the download/ directory. However when I test the site and purchase the item it gives me no hyperlink to download the file I entered in the attributes. Is there any reason for this, or is there something I am doing wrong. Guest Posted August 2, 2005 Share Posted August 2, 2005 there are numerous posts related to downloads. the files do not go into your pub directory, else anyone and everyone who uses your site (the unscrupulous ones who prey on the unwise) can download all of your products without even placing an order. They belong in downloads only. i suggest installing and utilizing the downloads controller contribution. what is your payment module set to? if you are not going thru a merchant account then the link will not be available until you specify that payment has been rec'd.
