klesk
A customer has just ordered a product from my oscommerce webstore. I can accept paypal payments which they used to pay for their order. They followed all the prompts and where sent to the paypal site and paid for the item. They were then sent back to my site using the "return to merchant" button. The order was still in the "shopping cart" and there is nothing in order their "order history". Also i didnt recieve any order email which i do if someone chooses to pay via personl check. I have tested this my self and also noticed that the name of the product that is being purchased is the name of my onlineshop so i have to contact my customer and ask what they ordered. I'm sure some of you osc users have had the same problem and would be very gratefull if anyone knows what i can do to solve it. Thanks in advance. JoshtheGeek
This problem just happened to us tonight as well, everything had the identical results you mentioned. We did our initial testing with PayPal a couple months ago and everything worked fine. This is the first "live" PayPal order we've received. There's nothing worse for customer service than calling a customer and saying,"Thank you for your order and payment, but what did you buy?" Any help would be much appreciated. wildman21
This is not going to fix the problem you mention but will be a way around it maybe I changed the name of one of the payment options to Paypal (we will send Paypal Invoice) I did this because I didnt like the way Paypal made the customer re-type delivery details which I thought was a bit un-proffesional. So now the order comes through and I just send Paypal invoice via email manually!
