Create Account page goes blank

Hello all-

 

I have been dealing with an issue with a client for almost a month now, with no resolution. For some reason, half the time the create_account_success.php page is blank.

 

Here is the process-

 

A customer views an item, and then clicks "In Cart". The customer then is taken to the cart contents, where they select "Checkout". As a new customer, they click "Continue" to create an account. After entering all of the contact and sign up info, they click "Continue". This is where the blank page comes up. No error, nothing, just a blank page.

 

From investigating, this is what I have figured out-

 

It happens in Internet Explorer and Firefox. I can reliable recreate the error. If I "tap" the continue button lightly, I go to the blank page. If I "CLICK" the continue button firmly, I go the create_account_success.php page with no error. I was convinced this was some stupid IE issue, but the exact same thing happens in Firefox. I have also tested other OSC sites on our server, and there is no problem. Also, this site has been running for a few years now, presumably without this problem.

 

Has anyone else encountered this? I am ready to pull out my hair and the customer is going nuts. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Check your config.php file and make sure secure server url is not set to a HTTPS (set it to HTTP://whateverstore.com)

 

I had the same problem. I discovered I had no secure server set up thus the NO PAGE nonsense. Hope that helps.
