Catalog images directory is not writeable:

Hi there

 

I'm having a few problems in uploading images to a new product. I get a error message stating 2Catalog images directory is not writeable:" I am chmod the directory to various settings 775, 777 etc but the same message.

 

I also get the error

 

Error: Destination not writeable.

Error: Catalog images directory is not writeable: /home/virtual/site9/fst/var/www/html/images/

 

when i try to save an image.
