Krazz
Im have several issues, life in general, but lets not get off the path too early.... I have recently moved my site to a secure server and had a ssl cert installed. The host set up a different folder, public_ssl to store dirs that I wanted secure. Im not sure this is the norm? This is where I fell over. I think I made two fatal errors. 1) I moved the entire catalog dir to this public _ssl dir 2) I did so whilst the catalog dir and the admin dir were password protected. So Im sorting out with the host concerns with the htaccess files but the main issue is after modifying the catalog/includes & catalog/admin/includes I can load the shop but almost every link fails as it still looks for files on http:// Do I have to mirror the entire catalog dir under https:// and http://..??? Some of the files like login.php etc do work ok off the index.php page, so im a little confused and way in over my head.... :-"
Guest
if your server is setup for two directory structures, one ssl one non ssl then you have to have a copy of your files in both. better off just having one directory and letting osCommerce handle the ssl portion internally better off to ask them to not require a separate ssl directory structure
