Image problems

Recommended Posts

The other day I installed osCommerce for the first time. All went well.

It was great. I then got a temp SSL certifiacte and after some inital problems, I had SSL working on consumer and admin interfaces.

Now, today, I wake up and even the regular http version of osCommerce has all broken images and the like.

No images are showing up and the account or chekout features no longer work.

Is this something to do with my temp SSL? If so, why is the http version of the site the same?

Many Thanks

Well, you're using frames for one thing (not a good idea - especially for seo), and you're using a mix of ip address and domain name - again not a good idea.

Hi,

That's where I'm getting a little bit stuck you see.

I can only get oscommerce or https pages to work with my server ip - not my domain name.

Why is this? I must be doing something wrong. I put my domain into osCommerce installation (or configure.php) and it causes broken images in http and https to hang and time-out.

My temp SSL cert doesn't work for my domain, only my IP.

Am I missing something here?

Many Thanks.

Well, as this is a self-signed cert generated from your hosting control panel - try generating a new one. The new one may work with the domain and not the ip address.
