is there a way to display 10 random products from a category rather than New products of the month

Then you'll have the specials box instead of the "new products for...." box

Thanks for the reply. The problem is that i don't use the "specials" feature as everything i sell already are on sale. I just want a category named "Exclusives" to be loaded instead of the "new products for july"

 

is this possible?

There is a contribution called featured products. You could use that and it allows you to pick the items you want to show up. Only draw back is it shows them from every catagory.

 

Great contrib though and could do what you want. It tels you to place the code on the index, but it works just like any other box and you can put it on any page you want to.
