zoe Posted July 29, 2005 Share Posted July 29, 2005 argh. I really have looked through lots of posts but I can't find this specific problem. I think I probably have a lot of things wrong with my download setup but the first issue is this: I try to buy a downloadable file, i pay for it through paypal, then paypal says return to store. I do, and there's the login screen again. I log in again, and it takes me to the payment screen again, like it wants me to go through the payment process all over again. The order doesn't appear in my admin or in my user account. I also noticed: paypal doesn't tell me what the customer bought - it just says my store name under "product". Doesn't really matter for downloads, but i sell real things too - so I'd like to know what they bought so i can ship it. Then - i still don't understand how this all works - i'd like my customer to be emailed a link to their downloads. What happens when they buy many downloads at once? Will they get lots of links in their emails? I can tell you i have my "enable redirect" set to false. i had it set ot "true". i had the same problem both ways. Any help in really basic language would be so very appreciated!!! I really am having a hard time understanding this stuff but i've learned a lot here. i feel like a genius for being able to move my "tell a friend" box from the right to the left! thanks! ~danielle Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I will research and then respond again! About the download - i'm really afraid to add something when i'm not sure if i've even set all of the initial things up correctly. One thing to note - when i had check/money order enabled as a payment method, and then tried to buy a download using a check, it linked me to the download right away. So the problem i guess is with paypal? I've disabled the check/money order option - first because i only want paypal and second because it seems the customer would get the download before i got the payment. but that's another can of worms i don't need to open!
