PetrolheadsNW
As above My index.php file got corrupted last night, I put a thread up here but no-one came to my rescue. As our website is our primary source of income, this morning I took drastic measures. Via the /admin panel I attempted to restore a backup from wednesday by choosing /backup/restore menu. I selected the date of the file I wanted to restore the clicked restore. whilst restore was in progress, I was greeted with a message about one of my products and some SQL data which is corrupt. The restore completed but when I tried to access our site it was still down and when I tried to go back into the /admin control panel this no longer worked either. I still have access to cpanel but what can I do to get our site back on line. The message when attempting to enter /admin module reads: 1146 - Table 'head_osc1.sessions' doesn't exist select value from sessions where sesskey = 'e9469c2a650ca8a21f0b068cd9cd041c' and expiry > '1122630801' [TEP STOP] The message when attempting to enter our site now reads: 1146 - Table 'head_osc1.sessions' doesn't exist select value from sessions where sesskey = '2fc32bd942493afe811ab273ecf656b0' and expiry > '1122630897' [TEP STOP] Please could someone HELP! Our site name is "WWW.PETROLHEADSNW.COM" Would i of lost all our products and customer info by attempting restore?

The PHPAdmin module which people speak off, I have not yet come across. The only 2 admin modules Iam aware of are: "CPanel" and "oursite/Admin" is there another module that I have missed Thanks in advance
FalseDawn
If this is that important, I suggest you stop faffing around with stuff you don't understand and get your host to restore a backup themselves. You might have to pay them a few dollars for it. Any decent host does daily backups.

Iam trying to repair damage done by one of our employees, this code I can understand a small amount. What screwed it up first of all was by using the in built editor, I have since installed dreamweaver to avoid any more hiccups. Please be patient with me as I do need your help and once its backup and running, I shall not have the need to "mess around with it" any longer I will first contact our host and see if they can perform a restore Thanks

I also advice you to read 'php and mysql for dummies' i know it sounds funny but it explains in a simple way many things after that you can check out o'reilly's books that are pretty good too
Jair
If this is that important, I suggest you stop faffing around with stuff you don't understand What a faffing stupid comment to make. I suggest you take your elitist attitude and shove it up your "false dawn". For many of us it is that important and we don't have the resources to hire some condescending social idiot like you, so we try our best. This forum is designed for helping people use this product and all I see is put downs like this. Hope you read this before it gets removed because you make me sick. If you don't want to help people then my suggestion would be this.... SHUT THE FAFF UP!! We don't need your scoldings, just your help, and if your incapable of helping then don't post. Probably my last post before I am banned... Oh well(It was worth it!) besides, getting answers here is nearly impossible. Jair

I did as requested and had my ISP reinstate from a recent backup, the site is now 99% recovered, we still have the extra checkout charges issue which we have posted in another post. Thanks again and keep up the excellent work
