Internal server error

Guys I was editing the text that shows at different places, index, shipping confirm etc and having finished went back to have a look at the store to find :

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

 

What have I done wrong all was working fine until then I have been back through all the files I edited and can't see anything wrong but know there must be any suggestions on where I should look

restore the files from your backup, then edit them one at a time, checking to make sure it all works prior to moving onto the next file

Mibble thanks for that but I have restored from backups of original default files and am still getting the same message,

When I went into the server logs the message there was that

Error: Premature end of script headers: php-script

Do I need to get my service provider to do something? Or should I just reinstall and start again, My shop was nearly finished and ready to go when this happened but I wonder if it might be quicker to just redo it

if u were editing files and just setting up the initial store, it would be your choice which is easier

I decided to blow it away and start again but fortunately I had been a good boy and done a backup of the database of products and other settings before editing the files so I am back up to the point I was at before editing so I have only lost about an hours work.
