paypal_ipn url?

paypal asks for the following:

This URL should be a URL which you own and at which you receive HTML posts.

 

Is this where the paypal_ipn.php file is located? I am confused with the palpal_ipn contrib from the osc team. I can not seem to find enough instructions on oscommerce or paypal to integrate this fully.

 

Any help would be appreciative.

You dont need to set the paypal url as its sent automatically by the module.

 

All you need to do is follow the instructions in the install file... its one of the easiest things to install in the world.

You certainly dont want to be using the above url :rolleyes:

 

Using the above will make it so that the order doesnt get processed at all so the goods will remain in the cart.

 

Just leave it blank as I said as the paypal system will ignore what you enter there anyway.

Thanks for the clarification. I did not read your first comment about the module sending the URL..... (can't see the forest thru the trees).

 

I was also thinking about the Auto-return feature in Paypal where I believe you do have to supply an URL.
