Urgent Help Please!

Hi there.

 

This is probably a basis schoolboy error but it's driving me nuts!!

 

I developed a shop on my sons site. When I was nearly finished, I ftp-ed the files from that site upto the correct site address but apart from the index page, evey other link takes me back to my sons site.

 

How do I stop this!!!

Your includes/configure.php file is probably not set up correctly. You can post it here, minus the sensitive data, if you would like someone to look at it.

Are you refering to images links, page links or what?

 

If you uploaded everything to your sons site and have now put them onto your own servers folder as files the links for images etc will be as they are typed/entered in the file so go into each file and physically change the path or in the case of images just re-upload them through your osC Administration panel > Catalog / Catergories - Products choose the product click browse reload image from your PC.

[colour=green]Just a thought did you build with php or HTML cause if you used php the script for the images will take you there no matter what site address you changed too, but anyway just reload them take a bit of time but less stressful.

I assume that i should change 'old site' to 'new site'.

 

Is that correct? I assume that then I'll have to export the database to the new site mySQL. IS that right?

Assuming old site and new site are legitimate domain names, the entries should be changed to one of them, not both.
