phpmyadmin?

when i get my site that has phpmyadmin do i go in an make a database for OS to attach it self to? also do i need to create a folder tree if so how sould it look thanks

You need to set up your database first via your hosts cpanel. This will just create the shell of the database. It won't contain any thing. Then start phpmyadmin and load the actual database.

the datbase that is contained in the OS folder

The database is kept in a separate place, not in the same place as your oscommerce files.
