If you were looking for a totally revamped site, you are probably at the wrong place. If you can offer more constructive feedback, it would be more useful to me. One suggestion I might make is the color of the tables, I'd probably get away from that hard purplish color and use more of a softer color. That's just my opinion. Other than that, you have a winner. Reuben Posted July 25, 2005 Share Posted July 25, 2005 Well I actually dont mind the purple at all, it makes it that little bit unique (as a stock layout can be anyway). The images take a while to load even with my broadband which wouldnt be very good for a dialup modem user, perhaps u could make smaller thumbnail sizes and/or compress them to a smaller file size to help page load speed. In the header, you have 3 "subtitles" (can't figure out what else to call them)..."Keep It Fresh"...(something I can't read)..."We Make You Look Good". Maybe it's my age, but I can't read the middle "subtitle". "Read more about our customer's reviews here." Since you have no reviews yet, maybe you want to take that out until you get some reviews. Just a thought. Some people don't want to create an account to get shipping pricing, etc. You might consider not making account creation mandatory if you don't want to turn away some potential buyers. "Top" and "Catalog". Is there a difference? When I click on either of them, I get the same thing. If they are the same, I'd get rid of one of them. Some people won't shop at a website that doesn't have their contact info (address/phone #) on their homepage. Perhaps you have it somewhere, but I couldn't find it. You could try one of the related colors, like 663399 or 333399. Also, the header looks lopsided to me, so I played around with it a little. All that you appear to have changed is the colour of the top and bottom navigation bar and a few other bits and pieces. You haven't even bothered to redo the buttons to match the new colour scheme. If its a review you want, i will go through it. You may not like the advice given. Read other reviews within this forum and see what has been said about other sites. Apart from the purple colour change, you have altered little or no other things within the store to make it look different and stand out from the rest. You still have the requests since text, this product was added text, the standard welcome text and the standard buttons. Other people put in the effort to at least change or remove these. Why are you different from the rest. In your smartphones categories, every sub category image is mising. All i get is a square with a red cross. Thats not too good. In your create account page, the address layout must be all wrong. If you write an addres in that order, then i will admit to being wrong, but i dont think i am. Sort the order. Your header image has oscommerce as the alt text. Is that right. All or most of your hover text is difficult to read because of the selected colour. Your privact info page looks bad. You have mixed upper and lower case text. Keep it all the same, break it up into paragraphs so its easier to read. Your advanced search help page relates to computer items. Make it something that relates to your store. It looks as if you have no meta tag info added to your site. How are people supposed to find your items, and how do you expect to get listed in the search engines unless you tell them what you are selling. No where on your site could i find a contact address and phone number. Many customers will be put off by this. There also appears to be no ssl installed. Please tell me i am wrong.
