I gave up on oscommerce and tried many others now im back this is the best. I need to know where the set up instructions are. I need to know how to use oscommerce. Will dreamweaver 6.0 work. What do i need to use and run oscommerce, Can I use my own template? all those things I need help with. Please anyone

I am just a newbie like you and I have been around the block with the other shopping carts too. What I did find is that cube cart has the best instructions and is the easiest to use. They just came out with there latest version and unfortunatly from my two weeks over there found that there are so many bugs and fixes that need attending to that the cart is not ready for production. I did leave there with a heap full of knowledge and understanding of PHP mysql and so much more. I was able to get OC up and running in just a few hours after I came back...as with before I couldn't do anything. OC (oscommerce) has a bunch of good info under Documentation but I found it a little overwhelming. Good luck to you and if I can do this I know anyone can....All of a sudden it will start making sence and stop feeling so much like the Chinese language. Oh also when you run into a bump the search feature is fantastic. This cart is so busy there is sure to be someone who has run into the same delemia as you are having..and if not posting usually gets you an anwser pretty quickly.
