MissyB19
Hi... does anyone have a code which i can just copy into my Newsletter manager? Plan to create my newsletter in adobe photoshop and save it as jpg file.. thus, would just need the newsletter to display the image when it's sent to customers. Not familiar with html or php. thus, if anyone had already done this, appreciate if you could post what you add in the manager.. and i'll just change the filename to mine. Thanks!!! Polkster13
If you are receiving an email and all you see is html code, then that is a problem with your email system not your web site. There should be an option in your email that allows you to view either in "Plain Text" or as "HTML". You can also set up your mail client to send an email in "Plain Text" or as "HTML" and I think a couple of others. If you have MS Exchange, look at Format and see if HTML is checked or not. This will allow you to view HTML in that particular message. Also look at Tools>Options>Mail Format and see if HTML is checked here as well. This will allow you to send emails with embedded HTML code.
soundman
I worked it out earlier after some searching - you have to enable the html not text under the email config on the website.....then you need to change one line of code in a php file related to the newsletter - sorry I can't dig out the links as I have very little time rigth now - but I did find it on here using the search.....it involved the newsletter.php file & line 63 (or 64?) of code - you had to change 'text' to 'html' & then you can use html in the newsletter. mi_jaiten
I'm trying to do the same - I got the newsletter to display the images no problem in the online editor.....the only thing is that when it was received by email it just displayed the html code :-" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi Guys, I find that the E-mail & Newsletter Manager is not versatile enough, so I use an HTML program that you just type, add images etc and the program writes the code, then I use an E-mail program that I paste the HTML code into then I send mails and Newsletters to one or multiple addresses at the same time. The E-mail sender program can get all your E-mail addresses from your site with one click and all you have to do is edit out the ones you don't want to send too. You can send to hotmail, yahoo or any of them and when the mail arrives it is plain text and shows the images, The good thing is you can design the page text size, colour, position, background and show image anywhere, size etc on the page. Also for me more importantly I want to store these only on my hard drive not on the server for safety and storage, 'cause if there's a lot of graphics that's a lot of bites. I use Free software if you want the links just PM me. Kind Regards, Michelle
