4sop
I've lost all the information about my website except the URL of the web site itself. I don't know the passwords ( I may be able to recall them in the right environment) and I don't know the URL for administering/modifying my web site. If I can recover that info I should be able to progress from there. Can anyone tell me how to get this info back? Do I have to re-install OSCommerce? Where do I go from here. Do you hear desperation here? Thanks for your help

To be honest with you it sounds fishy when a person looses their passwords and don't even know their sites admin url... What is the url of the site? "Woohoo, Just Havin Funnn!" 4sop
Yes, I am new as a member. However, I've been here several times to read the communications.
4sop
My URL is www.4sop.net. It may sound fishy, but it is actually just dumb. Still, in my defense I didn't have much time between setting it up and the defection of my disk drive. Then I was without my computer for about a week. Given my age I surprised that I remembered how to turn the computer on once I got it back. :P

They should have the site on their hard drive. No need to reinstall osCommerce. "Woohoo, Just Havin Funnn!"
moonbeam
I just pulled it up. Download a copy off the hosts server. What ftp program do you use? "Woohoo, Just Havin Funnn!"
4sop
Well, Moonbeam, I think you have finally opened my eyes. Thanks. The host is Lunarpages. The FTP is SmartFTP.
moonbeam
Get your ftp password and ftp url from your host and set your smartftp back up to get your site. Once you get that site, I suggest you document everything and a save a copy to disk local. Hope this helps, Moon "Woohoo, Just Havin Funnn!" 4sop
Well, here is the even dumber part of this. I forgot that I had once accessed the site from my computer where I work. I just checked it about 30 minutes ago. Guess what I found. The ftp url and password were right there waiting for me. Sometimes panic freezes your mind. Anyway, after reading what you had previously written, it started to come back to me. So I am now, thanks to you, in much better shape. Thanks again. 4sop
