Title changed to my site but still says OSCOMMERCE

Can someone help? My "title" still says "Oscommerce" even though I did change it to my website name. Can someone help? I'm sure its something so stupid!

What do you mean by title ?

If you mean the copyright at the bottom of the page change this

It's not a title, its a picture called oscommerce.gif. You would have to remove the link or alternatively change the link to a GIF file you would prefer to have in this position.

No, im talking about the title. NOT the picture. see here www.jawproducts.com/catalog and you will see in the top browser it still says oscommerce even though i changed the title!

Obviously you've changed the file but the changes have not been saved. If you downloaded the file and edited it then FTP'd it back to your site again then I'm guessing that the file on your site did not have the correct permissions (644) to allow it to be overwritten by you on upload. If you FTP to your site and take a look at the file on your website I'm sure it will still read 'osCommerce'.

He means the title bar of the browser, not the browser window itself. Look at the very very very top of the screen, you know other end to the minimize, close buttons

Now I see what you mean.

Topline of the browser still displaying osCommerce......

If you right click on your page, you will see that the title on about line 5 has not been changed

Hi,

This might not be standard coding. But an easy way to fix this would be:

includes/index.php

Find:

<title><?php echo TITLE; ?></title>

and change it to:

<title><?php echo 'J.A.W. PRODUCTS, Inc.' ?></title>
