Mets
Hey guys, I have a question about the PayPal module for osCommerce. I'm just finishing up my site right now, and I haven't yet selected a way to proces credit cards, and I was wondering if the module can only process orders from people who have a PayPal account, or if it can process an order from anybody. When I was testing the module out, after I clicked on "confirm order," I was taken to a PayPal screen on the internet (which is fine). However, the screen only had two options. Option 1: Log In, and option 2: Sign up for a paypal account. I tried hitting "Submit query" and "continue," but it asked me to sign up for PayPal. I know some of my customers may use PayPal, but most probably don't. Is there a way for a shopper on my site to just submit their credit card number and have it processed by a transaction company (paypal or not), without having to sign up for anything? Thanks in advance.

Mets
Thanks, I downloaded IPN. I'm testing it out with a Sandbox account, but I'm having a few issues. Everytime I go to go to Checkout, and click on Confirm Order, osCommerce takes me to a PayPal page that says there are $0.00 in the shopping cart. If I click on "Secure Checkout," I then get a message that says: "The recipient of this shopping cart link is not an approved shopping cart user. Please review your selection and try again." I did the fake bank account approval thing, as well as everything else paypal has thrown at me so far, but I'm guessing maybe it has something to do with certificates? I know the module asks for several, but I'm not sure how to get them or where I'm supposed to put them. As for my domain account, I'm currently building the website offline with the Apache Server, PHP5, and mySQL through XAMPP. Thanks for the help guys - I'm a noob as you can guess
Mets
Ok, nevermind, I figured out that last post, but I'm having my original problem again. I was looking for a PayPal module which would allow the customer to purchase the item without having to setup a PayPal account. I downloaded PayPal IPN Payment Module v1.0 and v1.1, configured a developer account in the Sandbox, made a test PayPal account, etc., but whenever someone clicks "Confirm Order" at the checkout screen, it still takes them to the PayPal screen I got with the module that comes installed with osCommerce - one that gives you the option to either pay with an existing PayPal account, or sign up for a PayPal account and pay. Do we have a module for osCommerce that works like PayPal's actual service does - giving people the option of how they want to pay? Appreaciate the help. Mets
Bump Doesn?t anybody have anything they can add on this? I?m just looking for a way to be able to process credit cards on my site (hence PayPal), but to do so regardless if they?ve signed up as a customer with the credit card processing agent or not. I?m getting plenty of ways for registered PayPal members to pay, but the module is still making everybody who doesn?t have a PayPal account sign up for one to pay. HSMagic
It's an option in the PayPal merchant profile. I can't recall the exact location but it's just a check box labled "Require paypal account" or something similar.
