Hi

Forgive me but I am a newbie! Can you tell me how to edit the text on the main page or infact on any page as I can't seem to figure it out... also, is there an instruction manual (free) on these matters otherwise I'll be asking questions in this forum forever? :blink:

To edit the text on your index page you want to look in your includes/language/yourlanguage/index.php file and altr the text after this bit of code-----define('TEXT_INFORMATION', '. Ensure that your text ends with this----');

Your shipping,privacy,conditions and others are all the same. Your privacy page will look like this----define('TEXT_INFORMATION', 'Put here your Privacy Notice information.'); Delete all the text betwen the two '' and anter your new text. Use <b>to start a new line, <p> to start a new paragraph, and other bits of html code to format the page as you like. You must remember that it's should be entered as it\'s and that's will be that\'s. If you do not put the \ before the ' you will get errors.

Use a plain text editor, or something similar, not the manager included with oscommerce. Back up files before altering, then if you do get errors, you can always start again with the copy.

All the best.

REMEMBER BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP
