Help needed with MOUSEOVER effects!

Hi!

 

Ive had a look through the contributions but couldnt find anything to do this,

 

In the categories info box when you float over each category, the text highlights.

Is it possible to make the background of that line highlight instead/as well ?

 

I tried looking at how this is coded for the checkout_shipping page where each shipping option highlights as you float over but I couldnt understand the code for it :(

 

Ideally id like to make it so the main category backgrounds highlight on mouseover, but sub-categories just have the text highlight on mouseover.
