jamesaggs
Hi, I having problems with Paypal on osCOmmerce. A customer selects Products, chooses Paypal as a payment method and finally clicks "Confirm Order". Then the site goes to Paypal. However, in Paypal, the Amount field shows zero dollars. The Amount field should show the total amount of the order. So, the customers have to manually enter the amont which is creating a problem since some are entering incorrect figures. Please help. How can I make Amount Field in Paypal show the correct figure? Please offer some suggestions. Note: I do not have contributions installed. I am using the standard Paypal package that came with osCommerce. James.
jamesaggs
Can someone please offer some clues on how I can solve this problem. Basically, Paypal is not including the total cost of the products selected by the customer in the Amounts field. Instead, it gives $0.00. I am unable to find the answer to this question on the forum. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. James.

jamesaggs
Well, I have another problem now. In the admin area, when I click currencies, I get a 500 Internal Server error. Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, deleting mysql tables, but nothing works. This problem was not occuring before. Also, in the admin area, I cannot view any of the backgound images. Can someone please tell me what is going on? Suddenly, this problem has occured. Before everything was fine.
roger001
install the osC PayPal IPN Module. Sorry, no that is not the solution here either. I just did that and still have the same identical error (I also installed in a new space and the same thing happened there too.) When a customer selects confirm order (after selecting 'PayPal' as a payment method), then they are farmed off to PayPal. Paypal shows the correct currency and also the correct product and description. But... PayPal shows a zero dollar amount. I am not a programmer and have been trying for days to get this sorted out. I talked to a couple other eComm guys and they had the same problem. The solution they both used for all their sites was unexpected - They stopped using or recommending PayPal. In this case it is a little difficult to suggest I suppose. Again, I'm not a programmer so I certainly hope there is someone out there who can help us! Please??!! Thanks! Guest
the paypal works with the default osc. I mean you can try on a default installation setup paypal and add some items to the cart and see that the full amount shows up. So the question is what customizations you have that may cause a problem? Anything related with checkout? Or maybe the currency isn't setup properly? Maddy837
I had the problem with a zero amount being passed to Paypal. Turns out I had setup my currency wrong. I wanted to receive payment in UK Pounds, so entered what I thought was the code for that, but got it wrong (think I used UKP as the code). You need to ensure that you are using the correct code for the currency (in my case GBP) then Paypal is able to understand the currency that you want to receive monies in. Hope that helps.
