images and Thumbs.db

In each image folder there is a Thumbs.db file. I tried creating a folder and uploading a picture manually by ftp. When creating a new product, I typed the location of the folder and image using site administrator.

 

But the picture was not shown. Im sure it has to do with the Thumbs.db. How can i create my own Thumbs.db. I want each category or each type of product line to have its own folder pictures. Is there a good contribution to use?
