hi, i've had a few problems with oscommerce so i uninstalled it but backed it up, both on the server (although i imagine these will have been deleted when i removed the previous version??) and i also downloaded the raw .sql file to my computer.

can i re-install all my products and things onto the new installation with the .sql file i have? or is there any other way of getting my products back without re-inputting them?

I have products but no customers

hoping someone can help

thanks

adam

Provided that you have a blank database for the new install then just access it via phpMyAdmin, click on the SQL tab, use the Browse box to locate your local copy of the backup sql file, click the 'Go' button and it will import the contents of that into the blank database.

If the new database ha sbeen setup with the default osCommerce test products etc. then check the tick boxes for all tables, elect to 'Drop' them, and then do as above.
