how to sendout emails as [email protected]

Hi. How to set OSC so that it sends out emails under the form of [email protected]. I know that you first need to get this type of email service from a host. But what needs to be done in OSC itself?

There is a setting in the admin panel for this. Sorry I can't be more specific, but I'm having problems right now with my server and can't seem to get my local store to work right. I know it's in there. It's an option to use SMTP or sendmail, and then I believe in the Store or company configuration (where you setup your name, address, etc) you can define your address.

 

I hope this helps. If I get my system working again, I'll track down the actual name of the link in the admin control panel.

There are three entries where you place your e-mail address under Configuration in your osCommerce 'admin' panel.

Is there a way to manually send out emails to people from your OSC shop?

From Admin panel click on "Customers".

 

Select customer to send email to, click on "email".
