theanalogkid
So when i've got a product selected, it shows the pic I uploaded on the right side, and says click here to enlarge, but when I click it, the image is the same size. I changed some of widths and heights in the images section of admin because they were distroting my images, so I just got rid of the widths and heights. COuld that have been it? Thanks! -- theanalogkid
Wendy James
The pop up image will be whatever size image you uploaded. So if you upload a small image, a small image will be shown when you click to enlarge. Are you uploading a large image as the main products image? theanalogkid
I think I figured it out. ON the admin page, under Images, there's the Small Image Width and Height options. By not having anything there, the image was staying the same size as I uploaded. Putting smaller sizes in there, but keeping it perportional to the image size, it did do the enlarging like supposed to. However, is there a way to do true thumbnails? Wendy James
That is the way osCommerce handles the images. You upload a big one, specify the thumbnail size in admin. However some people find their image quality is pretty bad doing it this way and opt for adding one of the thumbnail contributions or a contribution that allows you to use small, medium and large images. Probably other methods as well but those are the two I have used. Wendy James Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.
